A teddy bear is not the most obvious hiding place for two illegal weapons but police weren't fooled when they raided a man's apartment yesterday.

Police allegedly discovered a pair of illegal handguns stored inside the giant soft toy after searching the building in Turella, Sydney.

Two Glock pistols were found alongside a 32-round magazine and ammunition, as well as cash and paperwork.
