Krayzie
Alright, so I restarted my computer, and it just continually restarded, never fully restarded. Finally it did and once I logged in my desktop has the active desktop recovery screen. Also, it said windows has fixed a serious issue or something like that, and asked if I wanted to send error report, and I did, then it opened a web page and told me this: Address a problem with your video device driver You received this message because a hardware device in your computer caused Windows to shut down unexpectedly and restart. This is a serious problem, commonly referred to as a "stop error" or "blue screen." What exactly is that?

Krayzie
I never saw a blue screen though. It just attempted to restart about 4-5 times and got to the screen where it shows the windows sign and the scrolling thing below it, and would restart. Finally it restarted and thats what it said. I use AVG for my anti-virus, so yea. And any of that other stuff, no clue, not the most computer literate XD
=FlA=ibabyblink
right when you reboot you have to enter safe mode
GraveDigger
I think that its F2 or F11 that you must press during the windows startup. Depends on your comp. this is a silly question but, had you made any adjustments to any hardware settings(vid) or updated any drivers? Papito
start your Pc before press several times F8 and select Safe Mode, and check it with that tools, but first you need install and update Anti Malware, restart again when this finish, and enter normal, and clean with Ccleaner. Clean your Video Card, RAM, and others stuffs, arm again.

No, havent updated any drivers, or changed any hardware settings. start your Pc before press several times F8 and select Safe Mode, and check it with that tools, but first you need install and update Anti Malware, restart again when this finish, and enter normal, and clean with Ccleaner. Clean your Video Card, RAM, and others stuffs, arm again. Ive ran virus scans, havent picked any up. Do you think it could just be my graphics card going bad? It is almost 7 years old. Papito
i have AVG antivirus too, and believe me if i told you, this antivirus don't catch all the malwares!, just run it, dont lose anything, and clean the video card, maybe could be this,
gigabyte
What i usually do is, clean and defrag registry, defrag drives, remove all unnecessary files. After that take apart pc and clean every piece of hardware and rebuild. After that my pc runs smooth. I do this at least one or twice every two months. This program is really nice, if u cant do some of these stuff. http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/ But yeah if your vid card is 7 years old, that might be the problem lol. It might not be able to handle new games. Edited April 21, 2010 by gigabyte
Krayzie
I already know it cant play new games. I cant play Team Fortress 2, Half life, or Portal to because it doesnt have the graphics shader needed. All I do play on it is ET, and some times AOE3. gigabyte
Even so, a 7 year old card is cutting close to not being able to handle ET.
