cod4 server Chat

Having an issue that just appeared this morning. Not really sure how to resolve it, as any /cg console cvar related to chat is set to default.

 

Anyway, the problem is, my chat isn't showing up. Only way to see chat is to either open console, or if I press tab to see the scores it shows the chat. But not regularly. And for some reason my chat position had changed as well, and was right up under the mini map, that one has been fixed back to default location, but I can't seem to make my chat reappear.

Figured out my issue. Had to do with /cg_hudchatheight. For some reason it changed to 5 100, and when I changed it to what I thought was default I changed it to 204 0, where as it should of been 204 5 or such, stupid KrayZie, and stupid game for changing it on me in the first place.

Sounds like you tried to load some config file and that's the kind of things that happen when you mess with the defaults.

Lol I didn't change anything. I played last night and it was just fine when playing with you guys on Abner. I closed CoD and opened it this morning and my chat was all wacked. I'm blaming the custom server I played on last night.

Yeah SOME servers will effect your config files too ... I know mine gets a little messed up every time I go in to the Pro-Mod servers.

I was bored last night and wanted to get the FA name out there so I went to the Master List and just selected the most populated server after leaving you guys last night. So I joined and it was a modded server. Fackers.

modded server  =  most likely WHY it was SO Populated ?       where are the purist ... damn young kids playing on their damn X-box thingies ! GET OFF MY LAWN YOU BRATS !
