Here's one of my creations at work.  It's a decline impact ramp designed to simulate railway crashes.  Not sure if anyone else can weld, but this was my first MIG welding project and I really enjoyed it!

Just a simulation.  We managed to get the test item weighing 1800 lbs up to 11.7 ft/sec before impact.

I must say your welds look pretty damn good for your first project with a MIG. Do you do any other type of welding like ARC or TIG?

We've got all the equipment, just haven't learned yet.  It'd be nice to know though
