Steam Holiday Sale 2014 Dec. 18th - Jan. 2nd

It's that time of year again ye land lubbin' bastages! Steam is havin' it's annual winter sale and I know some wallets are gonna be hurtin' something fierce!

 

Seems to be the same ol' formula as the previous years.

 

1: Large daily sales that change every 24 hours. These are the best of the best and will not get any deeper discounts.

 

2: 6 Flash Sale deals that change every 12 hours. These are very comparative to the daily deals and will not usually get better discounts.

 

3: 1 community choice sale that changes every 24 hours. 

 

4: You should get 1 holiday xmas card for every $10 spent, which is used toward a Holiday badge for your profile.

 

The biggest change this year is now 1 card for every vote, as compared to 1 card for every three votes.

 

 

For you Steam newbies here are the basic rules of the Holiday sale:

 

Do NOT buy anything that is not on a flash sale or daily deal. 

 

Flash sale and Daily deals are the BEST discounts throughout the sale. Buy your games when they land here.

 

If your game isn't on a flash sale or daily deal, wait until the very last day to buy it. It could get a quick flash sale.

 

The last day says Jan 2nd, but in reality, the last day is Jan 1ST. Do your last minute shopping here.
