Running 1.6 from CD and Installing 1.7 from Steam

Going to try it this afternoon and will post results. Installing on Windows 7 Ult. 64Bit. I'll be installing it from Steam to a unique Folder I create, to avoid the need to  copy and save any existing profile files.

It does, unfortunately it also reset my 1.6 profile..  such an irritation. Looks like I'm starting over in both, but oh well. Such is life. Now I can join the rest of the fun.

 

 

I seem to have punkbuster error messages now though, what's the solution for making sure that's installed and/or recognized like normal?
