Hello everyone

I'm planning to build a PC. Thus far, these are the results:

CPU                            Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler               Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard            MSI Z87-G55 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory                     Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage                     Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card                Asus GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
Case                          Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply           Corsair 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Operating System    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Monitor                     Asus VN247H-P 23.6" Monitor
Mouse                       Logitech G400s Wired Optical Mouse

Any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated. I struggled a lot with video card, monitor and keyboard, so especially any tips on those components would be nice.

Cheers,

About the gpu, if budget allows, you could get the newer 760 & above. But if you want to stick with 660, you may want the 660 ti edition instead. The psu is a good choice If you're planning to sli in the future. If not, it's overkill. And for storage, don't you want an hdd to go along with your ssd?

All in all, you're future pc build looks sweet!

I'm a huge fan of Corsair and their customer service is amazing. I have their PSU and dominator ram in my PC. They have done advance RMA's for me on PSU's and RAM in past. However, if the budget is a hard limit, I would get the modular EVGA 750 and save $80 and put that money into getting the 760GTX. You may be able to save ~$50 on getting 2133 G. Skill ram too instead of the dominator ram. All of the recent PC's I've built have used G.Skill ram it none of it has gone bad. My Corsair Dominator GT RAM went through several RMA's.

Corsair is awesome, but these changes would save you money and get you better performance. They are also great components as well. EVGA sent my a 295GTX when I RMA'ed my 280GTX. Then I had to RMA my 295GTX and they sent me a 480GTX. I sold that on eBay for $270 and bought a newer card... EVGA has good service from my experience as well.

Heya

Ill switch GPU to 760GTX. I will have to check the prices of PSU on local market, as they vary and are generally more expensive here in Estonia, not to mention all parts might not be available. Related to that, are there any good online stores where you can order to be shipped to Europe countries? (Estonia)

Another thing, I do not have a keyboard listed, but i need that as well, so if you have good suggestions for relatively cheap gaming keyboard, give me a few hints.

Thx for feedback this far,

Flaty

For the keyboard, you may wanna look for Logitech G105. Price is relatively cheaper & bang for your buck imo, plus will go well with your g400s since they will be both using one Logitech software.

There has been less chatter here for a few days. Anyways, decided to go for G105 keyboard and swap the GPU to 760GTX OC

The full build is here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3sWpB

Still a bit in between if to go for 24'' or 27'' display

Any suggestions on that part maybe?

Hello!

Maybe I can be of some assistance. The build looks great, and it's going to be a beast. I just have some questions and suggestions, but of course you don't have to change a thing.

I noticed that you have a SSD for your storage solution. SSDs are great, amazingly fast, super reliable, and sex. BUT! They are pricey, and if you only have one in a build that is going to limit your storage space. If you do not wish to add another HDD or SSD soon after your build I suggest that you either add on a HDD or replace the SSD with an HDD. That SSD is $140 I believe, and you can purchase a 1TB Western Digital Black drive for around $70. So you could buy two even! When building a machine for gaming it is really important you have a sufficient amount of storage for all of those beautiful, wonderful, glorious games. I currently have three drives. One 120GB SSD, a 500GB, and a 1TB. Both the 120GB and 500GB are filled, and I'm in the process of filling the 1TB. It is important to make sure you will have enough storage.

Secondly! If you swap out out that SSD for a HDD you will have a couple extra bucks to throw at something else. My suggestion is to throw that into the GPU or a better CPU cooling solution. The 212 EVOs run great and do really well under hot temperatures. But $40 is only going to get you so far and so if you can spare it, I would suggest getting a beefier cooler.

Lastly, that monitor. The size is up to you man. My suggestion is you go to the local BestBuy and find the monitors and see which one you could see yourself using. If you go 27in you might want to consider getting a higher resolution than 1920x1080 to maintain that beautiful HD look. However, please keep in mind that the more pixels you push the more power you need. If you need specific suggestions on good monitors please ask. I know of several good ones that pretty much everyone enjoys.

I hope this was helpful!
