A town less than 50 minutes away from my place was wiped out by a giant mudslide caused by heavy rainfall. Death-toll is at about 16, and expected to climb to about 100, making it the worse natural diasater in Washington State history.    :cry

I am praying for the victims and their families, and selfishly hoping that none of them were my own friends, which is a definite possibility. I know quite a few people who live near the slide. I can't begin to understand how it would feel to have a loved one mangled up inside their house or car inside a mess like that. The recovery is a nightmare, with the sky still crying down on the recovery workers.
