After a few years on laptop, I wanted to get back to desktop pc and a couple of days ago I finally build my rig.

First time I actually build the whole thing all the way from scratch, and I'm quite happy with it :)

Here's the specs:

CPU: Intel i5-4670k 3.4GHz (gently overclocked it to 4.0GHz)

Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo

Motherboard: ASRock z87 Extreme4

RAM: 2x4gb DDR3 1600MHz (Ripjaw X)

SSD: A-Data 64Gb (only for operating system)

HDD: Seagate 1Tb (for rest of the stuff)

OS: Windows 8.1

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Gaming Edition

PSU: Super Flower 550W Golden Green Pro, Gold

Case: Corsair Carbide Air 540 Cube

+ homemade led-controller pcb, which changes leds inside the case from blue to purple to red as it gets hotter.

I'ma buy also new monitor later, but my old LG will suffice till then :)

Looks so sick! How much was it all together (if you don't mind)? I was trying to do the same but don't know how much to save for it!

All those parts listed there were around 1200 euros here in Finland (including some cable sleeves, heat-shrink tubes and shipping), but I'd imagine that elsewhere you could get those parts a bit cheaper...

The case is a bit expensive, though, you could get about 100 euros easily off by choosing some "normal" case.. I just fell in love with that particular case -.-

Dropping the SSD off of the list and just using normal HDD would save some money also.

It was a tad more expensive than I originally planned, but hopefully it will last a few years.
