The latest numbers from comScore show that Motorola's share of the smartphone market in the United States continued to fall over the summer despite the high-profile launches of its Moto X flagship phone as well as its Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini smartphones on Verizon. In all, Motorola's share of the U.S. market shrank from 7.2% for the three-month period ending in June 2013 to 6.8% for the three-month period ending in September 2013.
