+GRANNY. aka BONAMANA Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 At the moment shuffle on HC is based on kd and goes like ab-cd-ef and etc. Strongest player always goes to axis first. After a mathematical shuffle axis are always stronger. Look at his-if you take strongest (by kd) player as 10 and rank to 1 (weakest) this is what you will get after a shuffle: Axis Allied 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 ------------ 30 25 If you add a tendency to stack axis -what you get? yes- stacked teams and a never ending problem. What I suggest is to make allied get first player, axis second and etc. Is it possible to make? Just wondering... Tnxs Quote

Stacking is going to happen regardless of what the computer thinks. This is where you use your admin skills. Been playing there this whole week and it has been quite enjoyable and anytime I have been asking the stronger players to help balance, I have had plenty of skill level appropriate volunteers. This game is about fighting for your ground. We can't have it be a pushover for allies. Would ruin the game. Just my $0.02 Quote

Stacked teams (axis) was and still is a problem. Being allied and playing against stacked axis-no pleasure at all. A tendency to join axis first- is the main problem that contributes to it.If teams are even in number-a very few will join allied-most will go for axis-even strong players. If allied win-they win at the last moment (with some exceptions of cos) and usually when players disconnect-creating a short term disbalance in teams. If shuffle is changed to giving priority to allied and we add a tendency to stack axis-then hopefully teams will look more or less reasonable-and less work for admins. Note-that a game style is important too. It is always easier to defend, but-not every high kd player is interested in doing objective. In fact on HC only few ppl really play for objective. Reality on HC is that allied have to be even with axis or a bit stronger to have a chance. This is what I am trying to achieve with that shuffle. 1 Quote
