Ol Smoke Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I liked it. Lots of action, lots of cool space toys. I liked the Khan subplot and am glad they didn't follow the original too closely. I do hope that is the end of Khan and his gang in future episodes. Let's not go down that road again. The next movie should be the Klingon war episode. I like the way the Klingons looked in this movie. A true warrior race look. Here is something I have noticed in all the Star Trek series and movies. They try to use the very latest technology at the time the movie is made to make it look futuristic. If you go back and look at Star Trek movies from earlier you will see they had some cool notebooks for the time. Now look at this movie and see the technology. Now, just think, in 10 years, this will all be outdated. Man what have we got coming around the corner at us next? I think the next big thing they should have for the next Star Trek movie is an integration of computer and human brains. Instead of having hardwired computers in front of everyone, have the ships computer wirelessly seamed into our brain so that what we want, it knows. Instead of the captain always asking the computer for something or asking another crewman for information, it is all available instantly in our brain as data. Cool heh? I could not believe it had been 4 years since the first Star Trek of this series. 2009 Wow! Spock has put on weight. Did you see it? The ears were fatter. hahahaha 1 Quote
