Apple iTV Release Date Rumor 2014
Yes, rumors about Apple releasing its own television set are still flying around. Taiwan's Economic Daily News claims that Apple, Foxconn and Corning are all hard at work on making a "fully flat" television set that will supposedly come to market in 2014. The Economic Daily News' sources also say that Apple is testing out two different TV models that measure in at 55 inches and 60 inches. We've been down this road again and again with Apple's long-rumored iTV, however, so this latest report could very well be the latest piece of industry chatter that doesn't amount to anything.YaGD-DKVU3M

Apple is scared about where Microsoft and others are going with their consoles and similar devices.

 

They realize they are now behind the curve with these type products, and only having a quickly aging phone platform and over priced laptop aren't going to allow them to remain as competitive as they think they are for the long term
