That was hollywood's rendition of the Sun Dance of Purity that the Upper Plains Indians did as a way of finding

their way through troublesome times.

 

I assure you that there wasn't one Cheyenne Indian involved with the making of that scene.  You have a white

guy from New York, and a Mexican from Southern California trying to do a spiritual Indian dance.  I have know

idea what that chanting was at the end,  it in no way was a traditional Indian song.

 

So please disregard what you saw.  I just wish I hadn't seen it.  I am scarred for life now.
