COD Key and player profiles

My son (Quik131) and I (ZIG) just started playing the PC COD4 and my son wanted to try a Key Code.  He created a new profile and it didn't work.  He tried his other regular profile (Quik131) and it took the other Key Code and his profile won't work.  I gave him my Key Code so that he could play...

 

Now I am temporarily banned from the Server.

 

Is there a way that Quik131 can reset his Key so we can play again?

First question: Were you playing at the same time on one of our servers?

Yes.  So now that I know the Key Code is the Product Code in essence I understand why I got kicked.

 

I'm using the iMac (DL from App Store).  He's using PC (DL from Steam)

 

We deleted his using Steam, but we found out that the Key is stored in the Registry.  We've deleted the Key from Registry and are trying one more install right now.

 

Our next step will be emailing Steam and begging for a Key.  Unless you or someone else has any other suggestions.

 

BTW.  I have recently been able to play on the Server, no problem.

So, i have the same problem whit my sister^^

 

You can not play on the same server, whit the same codkey.

One after the other, but no on the same time.

You can go in a other server, F|A i don't know, i think yes, but no 2 on the same server.

 

I have a question:  what is your reson?

No I don't think you can do it on any server. Say you and your sister were playing together you play on beginners your sister plays on another server I don't think that works because the same CD key is in use at the same time.

We didn't clue into the fact that the Key Code was the Product Code at first.  I didn't know that Quik131 was trying a code that he saw online.  It was a comedy of errors that ended in Quik131 having to completely redo all the leveling that he had done.  Hehe.

 

Quik131 just wanted to see what a different Code would do.  He didn't know it was irreversible.  Otherwise he would have never tried.

 

It's all good now.

 

Quik131 is kicking a$$ as usual on the F|A Server once again.
