sincity Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 It looks like Microsoft (MSFT) is considering following Google (GOOG) and Mozilla in supporting the WebGL standard for accelerated 3D graphics for the next version of its web browser. CNET has found that the leaked build of Windows Blue features an early build of Internet Explorer 11 that contains "some infrastructure in place to support WebGL" but that also "lacks actual support at this stage." CNET also notes that supporting WebGL would represent an about-face for Microsoft, which had previously criticized the standard over alleged security risks.
