Jopa Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 Instructions 1 Remove the Xbox 360's faceplate by locating the finger hole at the bottom of the console and applying pressure forward, away from the console. 2 Flip the Xbox 360 so that the gray bottom vent plate is pointing toward the ceiling. Locate the three sets of tabs accessible through each side of the vent plate and apply pressure using your small flat-head screwdriver while simultaneously pulling up on the vent plate. Alternate between the left side and right side as you release the tabs. This will cause the vent plate to dislodge from the bottom of the Xbox 360. 3 Flip the Xbox 360 so that the top plate now points toward the ceiling. Locate the three sets of tabs. The first set can be found where the drive tray connects to the plate, the second set is accessible through the side vent holes, and the last set is located under the spot where the Xbox 360 system feet reside. Use your small flat-head screwdriver to dislodge the tabs while simultaneously pulling up on the vent plate. This will remove the top vent plate. 4 Lay the Xbox 360 on its side, upside down--if done properly, the A/C adapter port will be facing toward the ceiling. Using your small flat-head screwdriver, apply pressure into the seven holes to release the tabs holding the sides of the case together. Once those seven are released, use your fingernail to release any remaining tabs located on the front of the Xbox 360. Pull the side panels up and away as you release the tabs to remove the side panels. 5 Remove the six screws located around the metal chassis using your Torx 10 screwdriver, and lift the chassis covering up and away. Your Xbox 360 case is now completely open. Tips & Warnings Do not open your Xbox 360 case unless you are willing to void any warranty the system may be under. Quote
