sincity Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 At Minecon 2012, there was talk of Minecraft Pi, a nifty bit of portable fun on one of the world's most compact functioning computers. In December of 2012, it became available for use. Now, you can download it and try it out for yourself! So, what is Pi, anyway? Why is this such a big deal? Well, the Raspberry Pi: a cheap, credit card-sized computer that totally works, and Minecraft now has a version to run on it! "Credit card-sized" isn't an exaggeration either, and while it is easy to assume that Raspberry Pi wouldn't run that well, it is a surprisingly robust little computer: Here is your startup guide! No, seriously. Aside from being one of the few legally free versions of Minecraft out there, Minecraft Pi runs pretty well, with an experience very similar to Pocket Edition. Want to check this out for yourself? Head over to the official Minecraft Pi page (click here to check it out), give it a look, maybe give it a try for yourself! Quote
