PiNoY Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) The Ubuntu Software Center is an app interface that allows you to both manage and install applications and games on Ubuntu operating system. This app makes it so easy to search, and manage your Ubuntu apps. With this simple tutorial, it is hereby assumed that you already have Ubuntu OS running. Maybe later on you had removed your Ubuntu Software Center by mistake or had an improper installation of the said app. This simple tutorial can fix that. So, simply follow the steps as shown for you to install Ubuntu Software Center. 1. Launch you favorite terminal. You can press Ctrl + Alt + T alternatively. I would suggest to run an update first before installing Ubuntu Software Center. To do that, inside your command line terminal, issue this command sudo apt-get update 2. Then, if you are installing a fresh Ubuntu Software Center, from the command line interface of your terminal, issue the following commands: sudo apt-get install software-center If your Ubuntu Software Center needs to be reinstalled or repaired, issue this command sudo apt-get --purge --reinstall install software-center More likely, you would be asked of your Ubuntu Administrator account password or root password. Once that is done, you should be able to see Ubuntu Software Center under Application Menu with Dash Home like so Click on it and you should see something like this Inside Ubuntu Software Center, you can now proceed to search for particular apps or particular keyword search that could match the app that you are looking for. Goodluck. Edited March 30, 2018 by Fearless News Quote
