Yeah I'm with you there. On Vacant in the small room with wooden walls. My god. Just Run Through!!!

If there is a line of us going through a door, I'll hang back and allow some distance so I won't get taken out by a grenade or tube.

 

Snake and EmtHipple, your offer is tempting but how do i go back to 1.6?

We had a guy on the #UF# team that did this little trick.

When he would approach a corner he would run at the opposite wall, do a jump onto it, then go prone (in the air) and be ready to shoot you when he landed. You could

never hit this guy while he was doing that. Plus, if you met him straight on, he would jump, then go prone, then shoot. For some reason, COD4 will not lock onto

him when you shoot at him. You could get a hit, but he would kill you most of the time.

There is one thing I learned in watching other players, when you meet someone head on, rush at them. If you can do that, and get close enough, their gun barrel

will go thru you, and they can't shoot you. But if you use a pistol, it will kill them every time. I have had that done to me countless times.

Going back to 1.6 is easy if you get the patch switcher. There is one posted on this site (I don't know its location) that a lot of guys use. Some have had issues with switching. I use a different switcher and they only issue I have is when I go back to 1.6 from playig 1.7 I will crash a couple of times in game but then after that I'm good for a while with no issues. I've been looking at the Beginner Server to see if you are online before playing, but have not seen you there when I am getting ready to play so I just go to Ambner's (1.6) and play. We got a new rotation the other day so there are a lot of maps and games to play on.

Not sure how much it helps, but I normally ADS (SMG-Shotty) whenever I'm going down one of the tunnels in pipeline. It seems to help with preventing someone from hopping out and shooting me.

I had this happen a couple of times today and I keep telling myself that I need to correct this. I need to take a second to reload when in a safe spot. Today when moving a bomb all the across the map to the enemy's area I had killed three maybe four guys getting there. Right when I climbed up a ladder into a upper floor two guys stepped out, I had one bullet left, I shot one guy and then went into reload mode and was killed by the other guy. Had I stopped to reload before climbing into the upper level I may have made it further. This happens to me a lot because I am so focused on moving forward I forget that I've used a good bit of ammo. Sometimes when watching others play they will shoot two rounds and reload and will relaod every time they shoot.
