Picking up weapons on the map

I was spectating a player on Beginners and saw him pick up a sniper rifle lying (laying?) on the map in Crash. Then I saw him pick up a SAW in Crossfire. Is this possible? What's the keyboard command to pick up a weapon? Also, I saw the same player switch among three different weapons: SAW, M4 carbine and Desert Eagle. I'm pretty sure you can't have a pistol if you have 2 primary weapons.

 

And how do I private message an admin in the game about it?

 

PS: He also seemed to reload more mags than he should have been carrying for the M4 Carbine.

This can all be done with perks, and it depends whether or not you are on SC or HC. (Softcore makes it easier to know, though)

 

You can always press the button you set to "use' to pick up a weapon. You said he picked up a saw; he can switch between the one he left on the ground with "use" as well.

 

As for extra mags, there is a perk called Bandolier that gives you more ammunition.

Thank you for the reply. It clears things up. I'll have to watch more closely and examine the perks again too to familiarize myself with them. I'm not sure it explains the 2 primary weapons AND a pistol though. When I select the overkill perk it says I can't use a pistol. But maybe he was not switching all three, maybe he picked one of them up. Cheers.

Yeah, he probably picked one up since the picking up motion, looks similar to the weapon change motion.

Pick up when you are out of bullets and if you are sniper I always swap to pistol and pick up a MP5 or something similar, good combo for dual weapons.

sign up on X-fire so you can PM admin during game and off of main chat
