Corey Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Bad news for Apple (AAPL) fans who like to run Windows-based applications on their computers — it seems that the company’s new iMacs aren’t compatible with the Boot Camp dual-booting software assistant. 9to5Mac has received reports from readers that “the built-to-order 27-inch iMac configuration with a 3TB Fusion Drive (an extra $400) will not allow any Boot Camp use,” which essentially “cuts off access to a full Windows experience that some Mac users may want to benefit from.” As 9to5Mac notes, Apple has said in the past that the new iMacs do not run Boot Camp “at this time,” which means that support for the software could be coming in a future update.
