Anyone else suffering of sound lag? i had it on my previous pc, and i have it on my laptop

 

it occures independently of the cfg i use

 

already set hunk cvar to 512, 1024 ect

 

 

sound lag = lagg occures when a landmin is spoted, when a objective is made, at any annoucement(but does not occure for chat sounds even when they are enabled)

I have the same thing, uber lag when landmines are spotted and nothing when vsays are done etc. Fix avaible? or do i just have shitty pc or something

hunk command is for loading maps and stuff like that. com_soundMegs sets the amount of memory used when loading sound files. if that fails try cg_announcer 0

What value should be enough? im using 32 atm

Well sound doesn't take alot of memory. if you have 2GB of memory (like my shit pc) use 62. the command is calculated by MB, try using like 120 or 135 and use the rest on Hunk

Yeah i have 2GB also, i'm gonna try that but i've tried higher values in the past and i didn't see any difference. Now im going to try 512 hunk with 62 sound and zone

I have same problem in my old computer, landmines, airstrikes. can any1 plz post that cvars "s_*" with values can help us?

 

 

Edit: disabling azalia hd audio on bios, and installing AC'97 can help me?

if you play silentmod, they only say land mine spotted once for every occassion a covert ops spots landmines, rather than for every landmine,

only thing I know is to put your sound to low quality, and make sure killingspree sounds is off, (I always had vsays off because I thought it lagged me too)

I bought a virtual sound card from ebay, but I don't remember if it worked or not.
