How to win on COD4 maps

Maybe if you were to work in a team and you had been doing it for a while it might work, however I highly doubt it, especially on a busy server like beginners.

 

First problem is getting Opfor up into the bus area, the trip from store and through the alley is very likely to result in a grenade or sniper kill (any half-decent player knows to throw a grenade there or hop up onto the Marines green spawn car and to snipe any rushers, my self especially.

 

As for Marines, attempting to rush down to the building on the right, either down the stairs or through the wall, is likely to end similarly to the above. Opfor snipers can get to a spot where they can wallbang the door that leads to the hole in the wall, and from the same spot also cover the stairs long before any Marine gets there..

 

But like I said, it may work, it is the Beginners server so pretty much anything can happen ^^ Good luck though

This was very helpful, even for those of us who try and do these tactics by ourselves.

I think we should get a group together who can get on once and a while and practice these tactics.

I for one love to run around with a Sniper and a SMG, On (OPFOR) I love to run up the right side, chucking nades into those cars and running like heck, until I get into their (Marines) sniper building. Once there, I set a claymore at either end, then snipe into the marines backside.

 

As (Marines) I tend to have a smoke with me, and charge across the street under cover of smoke and stop the (OPFOR) players charging up the left side. I then work my way into that ally, nade that diner, rush into the (OPFOR) spawn. In this process, I 1st, stop their spawning in the back, 2nd, Stop flankers, 3rd, Cross the 50yard line early in the game.

Personally, I'm a sniper and one of my favorite moves when I'm a Marine is to immediately go into the corner house on my right as soon as I spawn. Typically rushers will try to cross and move down the east side of the map. After I die there (typically once OpFor snipers are in place). I'll mess around in the long sniper Marine sniper house. For rushing I've found it practical to use a UAV jammer and go where everyone else isn't. That way no is really looking for a rush from that side. Running a circuit around the map is a good idea, but I tend to not work in groups as it makes me a bigger target (the exception is when playing with under 10 people on the server).
