doubt about r_rmse

hey guys .. as u know . i have a crappy pc nd i searched everywhere for some configs to reduce graphics ....

 

in TRACKBASE FORUMS , i saw the cvar " r_rmse "

default: 0.0 it said tat higher value=crappy graphics

so i made it ................ in my autoexec : 25

 

whn i exec it , it says r_rmse will be changed upon restarting . i do vid_restart and i check the value , it is still at 0.0 ..

does the server force it to 0.0? if yes, y? if no , any ideas how to solve it?

As far as i know that cmd stoped having any effect after 2.56 patch.
