Corey Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) unveiled a pair of sleek ultrabooks and a gorgeous convertible tablet late last month as its Windows 8 lineup for this holiday season began to take shape. That was only the beginning, however, and HP moved from notebooks to desktops on Monday as it announced four new All-in-One Windows 8 computers that will launch beginning in October. The HP Spectre ONE is the first ever AiO to join HP’s premium Spectre lineup, and it also happens to be the thinnest All-in-One computer in the world. Measuring just 11.5 millimeters thick at its thinnest point, this desktop is all about premium look and feel. The unit’s 23-inch display is covered by flush-mounted glass, and the design is a sight to behold. Like Apple’s (AAPL) iMac, the Spectre ONE does not support touch input as the company’s TouchSmart lineup does, but this PC is as much a show piece as it is a workhorse, and touch support wasn’t doable at just 11.5 millimeters thick. This AiO does feature Intel’s latest processors, however, and it also includes 6GB of RAM, 750GB or 1TB of internal storage, Beats Audio, an HP TrueVision webcam and HP’s new Connected Remote feature. It also ships with both a mouse and an all-too-familiar trackpad with multitouch and gesture support. The Spectre ONE, like much of HP’s lineup this fall, also includes integrated NFC and some awesome NFC-based features. One example is the capability to log into a computer without having to input your password simply by tapping your NFC-enabled smartphone to your HP PC. HP’s new Spectre ONE All-in-One PC launches on November 14th starting at $1,299. HP also unveiled two touch-enabled All-in-One PCs on Monday — the ENVY 20 TouchSmart pictured above and the ENVY 23 TouchSmart pictured below. These AiOs feature 20- and 23-inch touchscreen displays, respectively, and the each supports 10-point multitouch as well as all of Windows 8′s gestures. Other items of note include the latest third-generation Intel Core processors, up to 2TB of storage, HP Connected Remote, Beats Audio and built-in webcams. The ENVY 20 TouchSmart will start at $849 and the ENVY 23 TouchSmart is priced from $1,099. Both PCs will be available beginning October 23rd, which is notably three days before Microsoft officially launches Windows 8. The final AiO desktop PC HP unveiled on Monday is the entry-level HP Pavilion 20. Pictured below, the Pavilion 20 lacks touch support as well as most of the bells and whistles included in HP’s pricier All-in-Ones, but the surprisingly affordable pricing makes it a terrific option for students and other consumers on a budget. It’s a great value, as well — key features include a 20-inch high-definition display, Intel and AMD processor options, HP Connected Remote and up to 2TB of storage. HP’s Pavilion 20 All-in-One PC launches on October 23rd with a base price of just $499. HP’s full press release follows below.
