IPhone 5 Photos NFC

With Apple’s (AAPL) unveiling of the next-generation iPhone set to take place in just over two weeks, we can expect plenty of new leaks out of the Far East leading up to Apple’s September 12th press conference. BGR exclusively confirmed in July that the sixth iPhone will feature 4G LTE, 1GB of RAM and integrated NFC when it launches next month, and newly published photos of purported “iPhone 5” parts appear to reveal the handset’s NFC radio for the first time.

Published on Sunday by Chinese blog Apple.pro, the new photos appear to show a complete front assembly from the next-generation iPhone. Located near the top of the assembly and highlighted with a red box is a component that has never before appeared in an Apple device, leading AppleInsider and others to speculate that it is the handset’s NFC radio.

According to earlier reports, the NFC capabilities in the next-generation iPhone could tie in with Apple’s Passbook app in iOS 6 to create an end-to-end mobile wallet solution.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone is expected to be unveiled during a press conference on September 12th and preorders will begin the same day. The handset will then reportedly launch the following week.
