Tough one. I am leaning towards Mercury. However....... I haven't seen mentions of Robert Plant, Jon Bon Jovi, Rob Helford, Ozzy, Sebastian Bach, ...... there are just so many. That would be my top 6. As a Slipknot fan, I have to mention Corey. Phenomenal screamer, but his ability to actually sing is impressive.

There isn't enough room in this topic to list all the rock/metal singers that I find to be talented. There are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many good singers out there to pick only one. It's impossible.

 

Everyone listed so far here deserves a #1... and this topic hasn't even scratched the surface of how many great vocalists are out there :)
