Corey Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Apple’s next-generation iPhone handset will be powered by a brand new quad-core processor, a new report claims. Citing anonymous industry sources, Digitimes on Thursday reported that Apple’s sixth iPhone will feature a new quad-core processor based on Samsung’s Exynos 4 ARM architecture when it launches this year. Earlier rumors suggested Apple’s upcoming iPhone might include a quad-core chipset, and an analysis of Apple’s iOS 6 software in early June reinforced the rumors. The new iPhone model is also expected to feature a larger 4-inch display, a smaller dock connector and a new unibody aluminum case.
