COD:Black Ops problem :/

So reason why I got this problem is that fail battlefield 3 made me install a driver that messed up my laptop but i managed to fix it, just some of my games are rmessed up now. Had the same problem in ET but Chuckun fixed that for me with some r_mode option, but it's not the same as in Black Ops. Also I didn't get this problem in CoD4 and L4D2

 

it looks like this:

 

aspect ratio: 16:9

resolution: 1024x768

 

Anyone knows how I can fix this in my config? it's pretty annoying

Tried different settings already

if the bars are on the side then you have the game output resolution set to 4:3 and you are using a 16:9 resolution monitor

 

if the bars are on the top and bottom then you have the output to 16:9 and you have a 4:3 monitor

You need to format the game's resolution to something in widescreen. Any resolutions like 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, are all 4:3 resolutions. You need something more along the lines of 1280x720, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1920x1080, etc.

Ugh, can't believe I didn't think of changing the resolution :/ Thanks haha, that fixed it =P *feels stupid*

I only bought BO to play on the F|A server, but that's dead now =P

Might aswell play a bit on some random servers, else I really did buy the game for nothing. Played only a few hours in the 18months+ (or something) that I have this game

Seriously try multiplayer zombies it really is fun specily with full grp

I've been getting that for ET since 2 days 0_o also when I changed to latest driver.

Edit: I even had to repair windows using CD because comp couldn't boot anymore because of beta driver 0_o

NVIDIA .. you fixed the problem on ET? Chuckun told me to do r_mode -1 and it worked

problem wasn't ET it was settings in CCC (for AMD)

hmm for me i had to activate Auto -Detect CPU scaling in Control Center

(french but see below)

Ah, problem with me is just settings in games now =P My laptop fixed again after "updating" those drivers lol.. it even made firefox look like firefox 7 somehow

 

Seems like nvidia updates only fail with alienware :/ cant play BF3 anymore, must update drivers but i cant -.- could play bf3 before though :[

 

You also fixed all back?

Nah finally not even working did you try to delete all drivers before installing the newest one?
