Corey Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Some of the most popular games of all time have been built using Epic Games’s Unreal gaming engine. The latest version of the Unreal engine, Unreal Engine 4, was recently shown off by Epic Senior technical artist Alan Willard in a Game Trailers video. The artist highlights the engine’s dynamic particle lighting system, demonstrating the technology in real time. A second video shows some of the features Willard demonstrated in a fully rendered scene. The engine has the potential to create truly beautiful games and it will be interesting to see how Epic’s technology fares against Crytek’s upcoming CryENGINE 3.
