Platonic Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 In tutorials and support topics, theres a lot of talking about editing the autoexec.cfg file. Every time I try it, I get the same response (I try translating it from dutch): "You don't have the right authority to save on this location (program files x86), use documents instead?" Ofcourse using documents instead wouldn't solve anything... I tought this would be an easy problem to solve for most of you, so I ask you: how should I solve it? Quote
Antichrist Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 You need to right click your config that you want to edit, and click PROPERTIES. Now click at the top SECURITY. Click EDIT. Now at the top box, highlight your group/user name that you are logged into windows under. Now in the lower box you see PERMISSIONS FOR... and then System, Administrators, etc... whatever user names are on your PC. You want to click the box that says FULL CONTROL. This will allow you to edit that file under your user name for windows 1 Quote
