Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon

Here's a fun game that me and co-workers have played for years.

 

Kevin Bacon (the movie star.... not the one in our clan) has played in a ton of movies with a ton of actors. The goal is to name an actor and in 6 steps or less, connect the actor to Kevin Bacon.

 

Example....

 

Actor: Kurt Russell

 

Connection: Kurt Russell in Backdraft with Donald Sutherland. Donald Sutherland in Animal House with ....... Kevin Bacon.

 

That was an easy one.

 

OK..... a little harder.

 

Actor: Ice Cube

 

Connection: Ice Cube in Boyz in the Hood with Cuba Gooding Jr. Cuba Gooding Jr. in A Few Good Men with...... Kevin Bacon.

 

 

We started doing this about 20 years ago and it is an automatic thing for me now that whatever movie I watch, I subconsciously work to make the connection.

 

Drives my wife nuts, but I find it fun to challenge myself.

 

There are about 3 or 4 movies that are key to getting it in 6 steps or less. And that is the challenge.

 

Just something to pass the time. Especially if you are forced to sit through a movie that you don't really want to see, but the significant other makes you watch it anyhow.
