Yes, that's right. Those of us who are Spartacus Gods of the Arena fans are going to have to wait till January 2012 for Spartacus Season 3 to begin.

One reason for the long hiatus is that he titile character, Spartacus who was originally played by Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The 39-year-old Whitfield has been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, forcing him to drop out of the Starz series. Liam McIntyre was recently announced as Whitfield's replacement as the titular gladiator. Whitfield passed away in September at the age of 39. (17 July 1972 – 11 September 2011)

Many variances and dynamics included in all the characters made that show absolutely outstanding and successful on the 2nd season. Hopefully, Liam McIntyre can portray the gladiator with the same prowess and intensity...

I don't think it's gonna be as good as when Andy Whitfield (R.I.P. Andy!) was the original Spartacus for this series. Hopefully this Liam guy can do a good job though.
