Well, I am affraid, the windows sheduler re-making cant solve the situation when application is programmed in single-thread or n-thread model, only matter what can change is completely re-programming of software, what is impossible.

 

Operating system can´t force the application to work in another model what is the programme model in core of application. Maybe, re-bulding of scheduler and drivers can bring more effectivity in performance/tact relation, but more probably only significant change in revision of chip (or tunning the manufaturing process) can bring the frequency what is essencially needed for highering of BD performance.

^aswell as that if there were any way to improve it fr the AMD proc, sandy bridge or other intel procs would probably be improved too.

Yep, describing the tri-gate transistors in 22nm in Ivy Bridge, what will come in the middle of 2012 - another 20% performance for Intel in addition, what is a prediction of course.
