Novice
Just posting an update, after and all night battle, my G2X is rooted and running the Cynogenmod 7.1 Nightly, only issue is mounting the SD Card, it tends to hang, or timeout but eventually after about 1min, it kicks in. Tried with USB debuggin on same issue, overall this phone kicks ass, super fast, and I am slowly starting to get the hang of not having a keyboard. Papito
isnt the nightly version more unstable? Yes they are, like betas. There isn't stable versions for every model.

Novice
isnt the nightly version more unstable? For my particular phone yes! it fixes many issues from the stable download. In retrospect no, nightly are never more stable, but in the case of cyanogenmod, all the nightly releases have been put on hold since November 2011 as they are working hard for ICS and CM9 so there is a lot of support in their forums for them. Issue with the SDCARD stuff seems to be non existence everything else seems 100% working and functional now. @papito, no thanks this phone is smoking fast as it is.
