Handsets have evolved and are now coming packed with more power and better displays. One of the devices that will make an appearance in Canada is the Samsung Galaxy S Glide. This Android will be available from Rogers “just in time for the holiday”. Today I had a quick hands-on and must say that it feels great in the hand. The Glide has a 4-row slide out QWERTY keyboard and, as expected, is thicker than say the Infuse 4G (there are dedicated menu buttons on the left and right side). Samsung could have gone overboard and put a 4.2 or 4.5-inch display on it but opted for a 4-inch Super AMOLED, which is not over powering. Other notable specs have it running Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread, comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera with a 1.2 front-facing camera. No word on prices points.
