So my buddy recently bought the game, and I wanted it so I got it from him, the code to activate on steam doesnt work for mine that he had, is there only a 1 time activation thing for the codes with the games?

I'm not 100% so correct me if i'm wrong but i think the code can only be used by 1 person at a time and if he uninstalls the game then you can download it (in other words only 1 person can play it), i think you can only use the code a certain amount of times before it expires.

Yes, 1 code - 1 person. If you want to play he must uninstall this game, or just visit him and play on his computer :D
