Dont worry about this anymore. I got a professional person charging $400 to $1200. Knocked him down to $30 but will take a week

ya its not that hard, you dont really need after effectss to do it, but it looks nicer if using AE

For one video it may be an ok price but the question is is it worth that price? I typically would avoid that sort of one time investment unless I think it could bring an equal amount back to me or I could find a way to get multiple uses out of it... for example instead of making a title for the video I make an introduction about being made by me which I could use on all of my stuff.

 

That way people would get used to seeing a fancy opening which they associate with you. If your videos have quality content they will associate quality with your opener. Once this happens people will assume that what they are about to watch is of good quality and will come back to you more often. That is of course if you can keep the high quality. The opener sucks them in but the content is what keeps them.

$30 is kind of a ripoff imo. A competent AE user could probably kick something like that out in less than half an hour using the proper particle plugins and a few minor tweaks for light FX and blurring. Maybe an hour to make it look proffesional.

 

So that's basically paying him $30 an hour. Kind of a steep price.

 

Or $3 per second of video if you're looking for the same length. Which again is steep.

 

 

But then again, if you can't do it yourself, I guess the provider can charge as much as he wants

Ok well I got 2 other offers from that website, $50 and $100 and he said he will make a contract and said it will take him a week to do. I still have about a day to decide so if someone could do this could you name yor price or maybe free

I'm going to tell the truth, I really suck doing it. So I'm sorry I can't help.

Have you searched in Youtube?, there are a lots of guys that maake intros for you. In some cases you have to pay in other no. Finding one that is free it's harder but you should give it a shot.
