ET BEGINNERS #2 Beg2 - medic invulnerability

When a medic pulls out syringe and begins reviving dead players it fails to take any damage at all for as long as it's actively reviving those players

 

it's sorta frustrating when you kill like 5-10 players in close proximity and then a medic pops up to heal them all who will absorb like a full clip at point blank without losing powerbar or dying, will take a point blank panzer round without dying etc

 

can this be repaired or modified or is it set this way for a reason?

theres spawn protection for few seconds each time u spawn or get revived.

as for revived player theres also same delay time for spawn protection a script that blocks player from moving BUT if that player shoots then the spawn protection is gone. 

this is great example of why u should kill player and gib them with knife or jumping over them (this method works in beg2 only afaik)

but it seems that also the reviver - the medic - enjoys invulnerability for a sec or two also, this is what I was getting at, rather than the spawn protection

no the reviver doesnt get any kind of protection.. its just the revived player's clip blocks the bullets from reaching the reviver. i use this method a lot actually i revive players and hide behind them to reload/change weapon etc
