Dirty Mick Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) So. Soundtracks. I posted about some great music but this is a little different. Compositions. Now my favorite compositions of all time are the Carmina Burana and the Danse Macabre from the Mighty Wurlitzer. I love Ludovico Einaudi's work. The Trans Siberian Orchestra is amazing. The Danish National Symphony is awesome. Clint Mansell's work for sure. But... soundtracks So for me the best soundtracks of all time are 1. Original Suspiria soundtrack by the band Goblin 2. Requiem For A Dream soundtrack by Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet 3. Ravenous soundtrack by Damon Albarn and Michael Nyman Clint Mansell also did the soundtrack to The Fountain which is phenomenal particularly the composition Death Is The Road To Awe. Theres something to be said for a good soundtrack. Certainly there are the Quentin Tarantino movie soundtracks... Dazed And Confused, Almost Famous, Forrest Gump, lots really. But an original score an original sound and the feelings it provides... Enio Moricone's work for the spaghetti westerns. The Jurassic Park theme. Halloween, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Star Wars, Superman, Beverly Hills Cop, Lord Of The Rings, Last Of The Mohicans, the list goes on for original music that was made for different films.
