if you spent sometime on ebay you could get your hands on a  pretty cheap  i7 

 

why didn't you go for the intel core i5-12600k https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-intel_core_i5_10400-vs-intel_core_i5_12600k

 

sure it's 100$ more on there but i looked there a cheaper one at newegg for around the same price as the i5 10400

thanks for your report but my motherboard supports up to generation 11 processors; However, I'm thinking of an upgrade to an i7 or i9 socket 1200 or a "little 4060"

you can us that site for any cpu really just check prices and make sure your getting the best bang for you buck  i mean from the looks of it your building this badboy your self so  it's better to keep a eye out for them deals you have the time to do so  i mean market prices right now for stuff is just getting  lower  and ya just make sure whatever you put together is going to work nicely with your parts

At this moment everything is working properly; I might upgrade the processor or graphics card or both before moving to a Socket 1700 and DDR5 system.

i think jay says it best about ddr5 p.s the video is 2 years old but i really don't think much has changed 

he did put another video out about 3 months ago talking more about ram
