I am not fan if historical movies is done in foreign language without any homeland actors in main role. Is there any French actors in leading role in new Napoleon movie? I understand English get bigger audience and thats why its important to do historicaly important movies in English too and not native language only.

 

I love this tv-series from Napoleon. Its not have high rating in IMDb but i love it, i watch it aboutg 2-3 per year and seen that so many times that cant even count anymore. I like that they used mainly French actors in main roles and support/minor roles. Even that language is english. John Malkovich make great acting performance in here, i like him a lot in here. I like Christian Clavier as Napoleon a lot, so it will be difficult to watch new Napoleon without him. Once you fell love in one version, its very hard to like new version, but i will watch this new Napoleon too. I like Heino Ferch a lot (German actor) He is probably my favorite character in this Tv-Serie, but all Clavier, Malkovich and Ferch doing very good acting job. So thats why i am surprised that it has only 7.3 rating in IMDb. I still highly recommend to watch this Napoleon from 2002 too.

The movie looks great, can't wait to watch it   Sadly it's true that bigger movies like these are usually english speaking only, due to many ppl not liking 'foreign' films / subtitles and the most famous actors globally are probably english speaking.

As a european myself, I'd prefer not to see german, austrian or french soldiers speaking english though haha.
