Bandino Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Hi first I have the problem that I had to switch completely to Mac OS because of my work with Apple programs and I have the possibility to install another operating system without making my Mac OS more unstable. I have now got a working version from ET Legacy directly, thank goodness, without having to have any special knowledge, which works smoothly on my operating system MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.6 and my other mac with the Monterey version, albeit with a few minor game start problems , which are not particularly relevant I can access the following MODS with this version of ET Legacy 2.80.2 "https://www.etlegacy.com/" without problems: - Nitmod - ETPub II - ETpro - Legacy My ET Engine does not accept the following mods: - Jamod-NQ-Silence My system shows the error every time: ,,VM_Create on cgame failed : Make sure cgame_mac exists in the mod`s folder you`re trying to run and that the mod is compatible with your platform. " I don't really understand the problem, because if my system weren't compactible, it wouldn't even show your servers, as far as I know from 2.55 to 2.60 ET Engine updates etc...... I can't find any other ET version that would be for MAC OS and would have to work with Wine, but then I don't even need to play the game because the calculation delay makes a free kill out of every top player and you can't stand it in the long run. ..... does anyone have an idea how I can get the whole thing up and running so that I could also connect to your FA Jamod and beginner server? Solution the cake is a lie Posted June 4, 2022 Solution Posted June 4, 2022 The ETLegacy game client for macOS only comes in a 64 bit version. Jaymod (for now), NQ, and Silent Mod only come in 32 bit versions. You cannot connect to a server running a 32 bit mod with a 64 bit client. Read this for more info about ET Legacy and mac compatibility: https://github.com/etlegacy/etlegacy/wiki/FAQ#macos The best way to play on a mac is to dual boot into another OS, either Windows or Linux. You can boot from an external hard drive or partition your internal drive. (An inferior way to play on your mac is using wine, a wine wrapper, or install a virtual machine with Windows or Linux.) 1 Quote
