2 questions about Steady Aim

1.- I had heard that Steady Aim dont work while you are aiming down the sights. So if that is correct, then set this perk in a sniper is useless???

2.- Acording to the previous answer, which weapons get much beneficts with Steady Aim??? (no shotguns due to they dont need this perk)

Thanks in advise for any comments about it :)

Ok steady aim will mostly favor your smgs and sometimes assaults. (Though on assault classes I almost always roll with deep impact)

Steady aim is used on sniper rifles usually when the player favors quick scoping and quick sniping in general. Also it helps with no scoping with an sniper.

Another benefit of steady aim is that when you need to use your secondary you don't have to ads and can just spray.

You are correct it does not work while aiming down the sights. Unless you are one of the types that likes to run around no scoping with sniper rifles it is slightly useful. I prefer it on classes that are meant to be stealthy and flank the enemy- it helps during those surprise enounters in the back alleys. It does help with shotty some by keeping a tighter grouping (extending the 1 hit kill range slightly by reducing spread- leaves max range the same though).

Zombie covered all of it really. I use Steady Aim on all of my classes, even Sniper, because it makes it so you can use you Deagle very easily.

Putting it on a sniper has benefits outside of no scoping. When you zoom in, it slowly reduces the cross hair size until it gets near perfect accuracy. If the crosshair is smaller to begin with, you can take your shot the instant the scope zooms in and still likely hit the mark at medium range. Do it without steady aim and it can fly way off, so you're forced to wait for additional time, which can be the death of you. Plus, it gives you better survivability close range with your deagle.

I throw it on my SMG's for running around like a madman. Like anti said, it helps with surprise encounters. I also use (don't laugh) on my M249 set-up, it is great for, yes, spraying at close range. I find the LMG's to take a sec to aim down the sights in close quarters and prefer the instant kill. I did not know about the quick scoping with the snipers though, going to have to try that. My assaults i always roll with Deep Impact.

Steady aim is very helpful for smgs. I really like using it on my mp5 and mini uzi. very nice for getting quick kills

Steady aim is one of my fave green perks. It's best on smg's in my opinion because it makes the hipfire crosshairs so small! A must have if you're gonna use an ak74 with a silencer/RDS.
