Big John
this has been my project for the last year and a half. i bought an 88 f150 with a blown 5.0L 302 and 5spd manual trans. i removed the 302 and bought a 351W 2bbl from a 1969 Ford Torino. thundercunt
Thats awesome! (Chocolate Thunder FTW!) Got to love a ford. I got a 1970 f100, it has a 360 ci two bbl in it now but i got a 390 4 bbl sitting in the dining room on an engine stand just waiting for $$$ to buy a nice carb then its going in. Great build, im sure that thing sounds good too. Ive always liked tinkering with cars and trucks, You should check me out @ cardomain.com (redenius001) I don't know if you have a page there but its a great place to show off your ride. My link but ive always wanted to drop a 427 SOHC into her
Big John
okay so i went to a 4x4 park in south alabama called Boggs and Boulders last month, but she kept stalling on my after about noon that day. Got it home and just rebuilt the carb cause i though the accelerator pump went out. I increased the jet size from 52 to 64 as well. still wouldnt turn over. turns out that prior to going to B & B i made a BIG mistake in taking the return feed tube on the carb for a vacuum port for a few seconds and sucked some gas into the crankcase, thought it was no big deal. I checked the oil yesterday and it was super runny and smelled like gas.....absolutly no viscosity left in it when i drained it. as of now it still wont turn over with the started but i can spin the flywheel with a screwdriver, so i think i burnt the starter motor up when it tried to crank it several times or the started solenoid went bad....but i had funn muddin!
