it's really weird how it works. You exit BBCode Mode (upper left icon) and select the Special BBCode icon (third from the left) open the drop down menu and select media. Then post the actual (not the embedded code) into both the dialog box within the Special BBCode icon and in the main posting window (the edit box for all posts)
