Considering a lot of people think you still need to buy this game, that's false. Ever since the master server went down, patches and downloads have been made for the game. All you need is a legit CD key and updated PB. Here's the download, follow the guide exactly and you will have it up and running in no time.

So i went on that guys stream and he mentioned theres going to be both RTCW and ET tournaments coming soon. Should be good :D

Indeed, most of the best et players are playing in the current rtcw cup. clown, crmbs, physic, night, etc.
