narc Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I have heard a few songs in my life that seem to be telling the story of my life, they are special to me. Have you ever experienced that? After my pops bailed I ended up in a total shit place, a town called Orange Mound, in the worst part of Memphis Tennessee, United States. I have seen a good friend get shot in his face, I have tried to sleep through a woman being raped and brutally murdered, I can still remember all the blood staining the alley the next day. In Orange Mound, cops don't come when you call them, because they don't want to be the next to die. This song is about my town, and they say it better than I. I definitely never pimped any whores, but I seen people steal, I seen people killed, and seen people live in poverty with no meals. It's f***ed up where I lived, but that's just how it is. It might be new to you, but it's been like this for years. In that town, I joined a gang. I am a white/asian genius who is tall and lanky. Every single person in my town, and my gang, was black with identical outlooks on white people. I went to jail in a jail that was 99.9% black/latino, I was one of 3 white people. What sent me to that jail I don't care to mention, so don't ask This song reminds me of the years I was a crip. Amusingly the rapper isn't a crip, which made listening to his music not allowed in my sect. Anyways, any of you people who live in a good neighborhood, never shot a gun in real life, and racism is not considered ok... The whole world is not your world. Everything is not ok. I came from your world, and this song will show you the world I ended up in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5kshEraUUM On to something less depressing.. I used to be quite the lover back once upon a long time ago. I had a yearning to give the world to a girl, one very special girl. She had eyes of emeralds and stopped my breath each and every time I saw her. I can't quite put her into words, and I never would be able to explain what she was for me, which is why I let this song do it for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMiVeK5zGz8 Quote
