Treasure hunting

That's my hobby. On land I use my Tesoro. In the water my Excal. Hunted all along the east coast. Anyone else??

I found an 1898 penny behind a baseboard in a house I was renovating. It was worth $2 when I found it.

 

And that's the only treasure I've even hunted. 

 

I always wanted a metal detector.

 

You say you hunt as a hobby.  Is it a profitable hobby? Is it expensive to get set up? What was your most valuable find? What was your favorite find?

is a hobby that will never pay for itself. However I enjoy it thoroughly. I have found many pieces of jewelry, (gold, silver, JUNK). But nothing like getting out and getting some swing time in
